Kanteerava Narasimharaja Wadiyar

Yuvaraja Sri Sir Kanteerava Narasimharaja Wadiyar, GCIE , was the heir apparent of the princely state of Mysore from 1895 until his death in 1940.

Narasimharaja Wodeyar was born at the Mysore Palace, the second son of Chamaraja Wadiyar IX, 23rd Maharaja of Mysore, by his wife Maharani Kempa Nanjammani Vani Vilasa Sannidhana. In 1894, when he was six years of age, his father died. His mother, Maharani Kempunanjammanni Vani Vilasa Sannidhana, served as Queen Regent of Mysore between 1894 and 1902 during the minority of his elder brother, Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar. Narasimharaja Wodeyars only son, Jayachamaraja Wadiyar, was to be the 25th and the last Maharaja of Mysore .
